When Mercedes-Benz approached the Hackathon.com team with a desire to host an online hackathon, they had three goals;
1. Evangelize developers worldwide of their APIs and SDK
2. Explore use cases using their technology
3. Collect valuable feedback.
With these key areas of focus in mind, Hackathon.com organized a 2-month worldwide online competition, asking participants to utilize Mercedes Benz's proprietary technology while developing mobility and connectivity solutions.
Participants submitted projects via the dedicated Hackathon.com platform, and later received feedback and opportunities to join training webinars from experts.
Collaborating with Walmart, Hackathon.com organized a 2-day online team building Hackathon where Walmart employees worked together, tackling supply chain challenges and developing innovative projects to boost Walmart's sustainability.
Hackathon.com staff followed-up individually with Walmart teams to monitor progress, facilitate participant/mentor interactions, and ensure deadlines were met.
Teams uploaded their projects to the platform and created 4-minute video pitches viewed by the jury. Winners received the opportunity to represent Walmart at CAPSULE 2020, the world's largest civic hackathon.
Kaiser Permanente collaborated with Hackathon.com to meet their objective of training their collaborators in Voice Technology and explore innovative use cases for internal processes. We organized a 2-day Hackathon with KP internal teams where participants received Amazon Alexa training, and developed skills relevant for internal needs. Throughout the hackathon, Alexa experts recruited by Hackathon.com supported participants.
